Amanda Halpin was born in England to parents from the Caribbean - St Kitts and Nevis. She has lived in Kent all her life. Since having children, she has developed a greater interest in finding out about her background.

While at school, Amanda did not learn much about slavery and wasn't particularly interested in finding out about her heritage. Now, however, she wants to know more about where she came from and what makes her who she is. Her search is for her roots.

Will St Kitts provide all the answers for Amanda, and will she manage to trace a link to the slave trade?
