Passion

You have loved me so you say
But have you loved me well?
Have you loved me
With sheer cascading passion
That with breath caught in my lungs
And overwhelming desire
Has lain me pliant in your arms.
If you have loved me as you say
Let nature in her full glory
And abundant fruitfulness
Step back
Step aside
And give to me that coveted crown.
