33 Medals for Swimmers

Four days of competition, 42 races and 33 medals for Jersey.

In four days of swimming competition Jersey have competed in 42 races and have so far won 33 medals.

On the final night of Swimming finals Jersey won seven medals. That breaks down as four bronze, two silver and one gold.

Day Six Swimming

Jersey's Ian Black

The gold came from Daniel Hacksworth in the 200m breaststroke and team mate Ian Black took silver in the same race.

Katie Speller took silver in the 100m individual medley and JG Gallichan got his first ever Games medal, a bronze in the 400m freestyle.

Jersey's Rosie Barrat also took bronze in the 50m backstroke.

The last two races of the evening saw the Jersey ladies take bronze in the 400m medley relay and the islands men take bronze in the 100m freestyle relay.
