The introduction of FM stereo transmissions followed later, as did streaming on the internet. The station went on air at 7pm on Wednesday 15th March with a programme hosted by Peter Gore. He was BBC Radio Jersey's breakfast show presenter and the honour of being the first voice heard on the new station fell to him.
