Devon girl Suzy is one of the team’s bi-media journalists. After studying Broadcast Journalism at Falmouth in Cornwall, she joined the BBC in the Channel Islands.

“Before studying I was writing for an English newspaper in Sri Lanka, so working in pretty islands with great beaches seems to have been a lucky perk of my career so far.

"Since I’ve arrived here I’ve been enjoying multi-tasking between TV and radio. As a journalist I love how the Channel Islands make up what they lack in size with distinctive personality and political self-sufficiency, meaning that interesting and often unusual stories abound.

"There’s plenty of other miscellaneous things to like about life in the Channel Islands, like the sophisticated touch of continental influence, breathtaking sea views round so many corners, and Jersey cream liqueur. Plus, having recently discovered I have family in Jersey, it turns out I have roots here as well.”
