Senator Stuart Syvret

The first half of question time allowed members the opportunity to ask the Minister for Health and Social Services, Senator Stuart Syvret questions without notice.

Senator Syvret was asked 12 questions on a variety of issues including MMR vaccinations for young children, private health insurance, long term care patients, smoking cessation and the Draft Sexual Health Strategy.

The second half of question time allowed members the opportunity to ask the Minister for Transport and Technical Services, Deputy Guy de Faye, questions without notice.

Deputy de Faye responded to a dozen questions on a number of topics including bus passes for the over 60s, roadworks, price fixing and competition in taxi fares, the forthcoming new Sustainable Travel and Transport Plan and purchasing plants from the prison’s horticultural department.
