Steve Drayton has been tasked with getting under the skin of a dying sport and finding out why the young prefer game boys to feathered birds.

In the course of his investigation he sets out to race Gary - Inside Out's very own fun loving bird - who makes a bit of an error on his way back when he stops off for a bit of canoodling.

But before the jokes start there are some deadly serious people in the fashion business who think Teesside has the talent to find a real place on the catwalk.

Scott Henshall - one of Britain's cutting edge designers has gone global - from his base just down the road in Hartlepool where he has a team of 25.

He designed the World’s most expensive dress – a snip at £5 million.

Then there's the man behind one of the north's most cutting edge stores – a cathedral to fashion and design in the heart of what was a run-down shopping street on the edge of Middlesbrough.

Steve Cochrane, the creator of Psyche Department Store, insists that he isn't throwing money away - because soon the fashion world will work out where it is really at.
