Tell us about yourself: I am a teacher of English, now Director of Learning at Sydney Smith School. Most importantly I am a husband and father who wishes the best for his family. Having lived in Spain twice, I have settled to a life in Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire, where my wife and I hope to 'grow' our future.
Whats your story about? The importance of family above dreams. Realising that sunshine can come from within as well as without. An apology to my wife and eldest daughter for dragging them along with my crazy scheme.
Why did you choose to tell this particular story? It's a seminal moment in my life that has defined where I am now and where I think I am going. It has been a cathartic venture that has reconciled me to a rather traumatic watershed in our lives.
Any additional comments? Thanks to the BBC for giving me the chance to realise a dream.
