Comments: Ulanda Grenich, Africa:
I find that you have become someone and something in life. You seem to be so strong and so brave. I'd like to tell you that by reading this story you have given me the inspiration to stay here living in England. I must agree that I also do miss Church, especially the singing and my family. Best wishes

Digital Story

Across the Miles by Mary Goren

Tell us about yourself:
I am originally from Kenya and I am a teacher at the moment here in England. I love singing and learning new experiences.

What’s your story about?
My story is about the comparison between my Catholic faith in England and in Kenya. It also explains some of the precious memories back in Kenya in comparison with life in England.

Why did you choose to tell this particular story?
The reason I chose this story is because the transition between my life in Kenya and my life in England is quite huge and has had an impact on my overall well being. Also starting afresh and leaving behind memories is a huge step in my life
