It's a boy!

A couple's fertility treatment has been successful.

Radio Humberside presenter Ruth Barcroft was approached by her sister Shan to donate an egg.

The whole procedure was followed on radio and online with a special series called the Donor Diaries; looking at the issues surrounding fertility treatments.

After a successful IVF procedure Shan has given birth.

Tom Luca Joseph Tyler was born on June 25th weighing in at eight pounds and six ounces.

Shan and Steve are absolutely delighted and still can't quite believe it. Here's Shan's reaction when Ruth spoke to her a few days later.
