Now in its third year, the festival is aiming to reach out to younger audiences and have introduced a comedy show for children. Among the artists taking part is comedian Alan Carr star of Channel 4's Friday Night Project, who will be performing at the Parkway Cinema in Cleethorpes on Sunday 15th October. Also performing at the same venue is stand up comedian for kids James Campbell on Wednesday 11th October. Soul singer and songwriter Carleen Anderson performed at the Cleethorpes Winter Gardens on Saturday 7th October, with support from Hull funk band Concrete Breaks. To launch the Lit.com festival, Grimsby’s Driftnet Poets hosted a live poetry showcase with renowned poet Patience Agbabi as special guest at Millfields’ Orangery Restaurant, to celebrate National Poetry Day. The festival also includes writing workshops, children's theatre productions, story-telling and guest appearances by novelists Sue Hepworth and Jane Linfoot, co-authors of ‘Plotting for Beginners’.
