The story gives an account of Driver John Logue RASC who served in North Africa, Sicily and Italy and of his meeting in 1945 with Edera Santin of Venice. It describes their courtship in Italy, their life together in Ireland and some of the cultural, social and other factors related to being an Italian living in the City of Derry.
