I have already sent six one-page pieces under this heading to WWW.bbc.co.uk/dna/ww2, using the name Backchurch. Barrowford is near Nelson in NE Lancs & on the whole lived a quiet and peaceful existence throughout the whole of the war. That is what is so extarordinary as compared with a lot of the rest of the country & the world. I was 8 yrs old when the war broke out & 14 when it ended. These pieces are copies of emails sent to a friend about a year ago. I will try to onsend them once again - BACKCHURCH
