I started my army life in october 1939 at Winchester in the Rifle Brigade later transfered to the 5th Loyals after that to the 18th Reconaisance Corps sent to Far East,was shjpwrecked off Singapore on the Empress of Asia,was taken prisoner and spent three and a half years working for the Japs.
That is a brief story of my war experience
