I have been researching my family tree, all my tree details on `Family Tree Trace your UK family tree on Genes United'. I have found out that my late uncle, through another site the `memorial and monuments in southsea' site, where there is a memorial also at Chatham Naval Memorial,to the sailors 62 of whom gave their lives, 11/12/1944 in artic waters returning from Russia whilst escorting a convoy home, on HMS Cassandra. My uncle RN Signalman Louis James Brittain, brother to my dad Digby Arthur Brittain, brother to their sister .........? Brittain, son of James Digby Brittain and Elizabeth Lilian Brittain, of 95, Hornsey Park Road,London, N8. At this pionyant time of rememberance of those, who gave the ultimate sacrifice `their lives' so we could be free. I would like to hear from you any relavent details in reply. Best regards, Clive Digby Brittain.
