Susan Nolen - WW2 Writing Buddy
User ID: U550667

I started helping out on the website as a volunteer sub editor and now the position has been changed to writing buddy. If you need any help with your story just give me a shout.

My biggest regret is not paying attention to the endless war stories my dad, aunts and grandparents constantly told. I was too interested in sticking my nose in a book or playing outside. Now I wish I could go back in time and listen for just one hour!

My Father was too young to fight in the war, but told me countless stories of being evacuated, life in London, and then moving out from London to Kent. My grandmother worked for the Dutch Govt. as a telephone operator during the war. My grandfather was in the Middlesex Diehards.

I really believe that this is a priceless project and look forward to helping anyone in need of getting that story out!
