These are memories of a lady I know called Eve Smith. She came from Ireland when she was 16 and lived in Birmingham. She was born in Kingstown in 1920 and her maiden name was Hall. Kingstown is now know as DunLaoghaire. She married William Francis Smith who originally came from Dublin. She worked at Fort Dunlop and was a member of the ATS during the war. Her stories are very vivid and I am using my computer to put them on file.
