I'm just an ordinary sort of person, from a working-class family. Born in Denham Buckinghamshire before moving to the village of Aldwick West Sussex in 1936. I still live with my wife in that same cottage that I was brought up in from the age of three.
Served with the RAF from 1951 to 1954 at Boscombe Down as a engine mechanic, reaching the dizzy heights of Senior Air Craftsman. After demobilisation had various jobs until finishing my working life with the Southern Gas Board. Suffered a serious heart attack at the age of 59 resulting in a triple bypass which saved my life. Now 72 happily I'm still clinging to the conveyor belt of life.
