84 years old. Born Marylebone,London where I lived until 1939. Ex PO & BT. served in PO LDV & Homeguard during Blitz on London, working at Gerrard and Whitehall Telephone Exchanges & Ministry of Aircraft Production,Millbank as a Telehone Engineer. Most of war service in Royal Signal COrps - instructor at Telecomms School, Sikundra Barracks, Agra, India after training at Catterick. Also worked with the US Army at the Message Centre at Delhi getting experience of American Teletype machines and American Telephone Carrier equipment, etc so that we could instruct on Lease/Lend US equipment that was beginning to be supplied to the British forces.
