My uncle, Jack Snell, served in the South Wales Borderers during World War II. All I know is that he was invalided home in 1944, and was never able to work. He spent his time at Rookwood Hospital, Cardiff, learnt jewelery and watch repairing, and spent some time painting. His physical disabilities prevented him living a full life, and he died in 1965.
