About the contributor

I am the daughter of Geoffrey Rowe MBE who was posted to Bletchley in December 1939. After his death in 1993 I found general information about the period from him volunteering at the outbreak of war, my mother being evacuated with the Forestry Commission to Bristol and his eventual posting just before Christmas to "somewhere in England" which was Bletchley Park. Also there was information about a sojurn in France from February 1940 to escape from Bordeaux on 23rd June 1940.
