I was born in 1937 in Kensington, London in the month of March. As a child of the war, this episode of British history was emblazoned into
my mind forever.Much is said and written about the adults war, but very little about the horror
the kids of Britain lived through. It was a case of "seen and not heard" in those days and we kids suffered in silence to a great extent.
I write poetry on two BBC forums, mainly of a protest nature, which in the main is well received
by its readers.A few of my poems are dedicated to
the second world war in such titles as follows:-
"The Darkest Years" which is a "kids eye view"
of our life in London in that dark period of time
"Daddy-Long-Legs" is a personal account of my life during the war, plus many more on this subject.
"The Coalcart Kid" is a book that I'v written, but never tried to get it published, which gives a graphic account of a kids war in London.
