About the contributor

We are a Middle School on the Isle of Sheppey. We have produced a play,which was performed to veterans and evacuees, on 15th June 2005. We are in the process of contacting the schools in South Wales where children from Sheerness were evacuated to. So far we have heard from a few but we hope to hear from all of them! When we have got these recollections together we are going to hold another meeting for the community, display the research and put together a booklet for Rememberance Day (and send the stories back to Wales). We also plan to plant a Peace Garden on Remembrance Day this year for the 60th Anniversary.
