My Grandad, Alec Reid, Cheshire Regiment, was in France 1939-1940 and was evacuated at Dunkirk. He wrote a journal of his experiences for the seven months he was there and my family are keen to place some of his memories on this website. The whole content is too long to place here so I have chosen to tell how he was evacuated.
