I joined the ATS October 13th 1944 at the age of 18. Army no: W307782
Initial training Pontefract Barracks.
Then Driving School at Camberly Surrey, failed! Edinburgh ATS Signal School. passed as Operator Keyboard and Line posted to:
North Midland District Signals Nottingham.
Grimsby Barracks (billeted in Cleethorpes) for a year.
Back to Nottingham.
Demobbed July 1947.
In New Zealand since 1953. Does anyone remember me?
