Hi,Dave here.
I thought I would try to contribute my parents thoughts and experiences from ww2 on this excellent idea of a website. I am on the south coast and they live in the midlands. I am visiting them next weekend, notebook in hand to try to extract as much info out of them as possible. What I do remember at the moment is that my mum was evacuated from Coventry, whilst her dad worked in a factory making Hurricanes. My dad was out in the farming community.I will however be back with more information when I return.
I myself played a small part in the Falklands War. A mere pittance compared to WW2 I know, however I did have an experience of the camerardere,
teamwork, joy, sorrow and elation that the veterans of ww2,whether military or not,had to go through, not just for a few months though, but years.I will return with my parents stories soon.
