About the contributor

My name is Trevor Goodchild. I was born and grew up in London and became a foreign correspondent with Reuters and later a Radio journalist with the BBC. I took early retirement four years ago and decided to go back to University. I am currently doing an MA in Italian Studies at University College London. I am using the site to try to find out more details of my father's war history. He was in two POW camps -- in Italy and Poland. There is a link to his story below.
