During the war, I was married. I’d just got married.
I worked in a munitions factory, in Marchwiel near Wrexham. I don’t remember quite what I was doing, but I think we were packing shells. Big ones they were. I can’t remember much. There were several things we worked on. Like a production line, several of us there were. It wasn’t dangerous, although we had the sirens going several times, but I suppose we were a target.
