Thomas Leslie Muncaster was a motorbike dispatch rider taking information between units, when a young german sniper took aim and shot at him and he swerved to avoid it. The wheel of his motorcycle ran over a mine but fortunately the bike took most of the blast and he came away with only a leg wound.he got shiped back to a British hospital for 6 months. He then returned to his unit and every time a comrad went missing they would say they had done a Muncaster - because they had gone missing and not returned.
