I remember when the doodle bug came over our row of houses in Castle Street, Woodbridge. We heard it coming and all the neighbours rushed out feeling very frightened. It was quite low and not long after passing our house the engine cut out and I think it crashed in the Ufford area. My memory is a bit sketchy as I was only a very small child at the time.
