Two of his mates were killed in Italian campaign (Gunner Robert Richardson and Stanley Haley). Regards and maybe hear from you soon. Anthony
Message 2 - 49th LAA RegimentPosted on: 10 December 2003 by Ron Goldstein Dear Anthony Firstly, I regret that I was only in 84 Bty and then RHQ, BUT, I am in close contact with a good friend who was in 280 Bty and I will pose him the same question. Perhaps you could send me your e-mail address (by post)so that my friend can contact you directly. Nice to make contact like this Best wishes Ron Message 3 - 49th LAA RegimentDear Ron, Thanks for message. Appreciate your prompt reply. Not sure how to proceed as I would very much like to make contact with your pal from 280 Bty.but would rather not leave an e-mail address on this site for obvious reasons. Perhaps we could do something via this site? Do you have another suggestion? Hope to hear from you soon Regards Anthony.
Message 4 - 49th LAA RegimentPosted on: 24 December 2003 by Ron Goldstein Hi Anthony Sorry about delay in getting back to you, due to computer problems. You are of course quite right not to give an e-mail adress on this site I should have thought of that. I'm afraid my ex 280 Bty friend has no recollection of your uncle but has some snaps of his own contemporaries. I'll have to think of some way to let you have sight of them. Will stay in touch Best wishes Ron
