My parents owned a green grocers shop 339 cannock road wolverhampton only a mile from the Guy motor works wolverhampton.
My farther had been called up into the army and mom ran the shop, during the bomber raids she drove ambulances when required.
After one such bomber raid and being out on ambulance duty she returned home and went to bed (there was no power on at the time).
On waking in the morning she woke to be looking at the sky through a hole in the roof and noticed plaster missing from the wall, on investigation she found at the other side of the bed an incendery bomb.
The bomb disposal were called to deal with it and they told my mother that it was totally safe as it was filled with a mixture of sawdust and shale.
