208 sqdn RAF Egypt/Palestine/Greece/Syria/Lybia/Trans-Jordan

As a follow-up to the contribution 'A bit of a mystery', here is a photo found amongst my Uncle's possesions, sent to my grandmother when he was reported missing in December 1942. The following has been written on the photo: "208 Sqdn RAF Egypt; Palestine; Greece; Syria; Lybia; Trans-Jordan." Does anyone else recall seeing or even being in this group photo? It was obviously taken prior to December 1942, but when? And where? Heliopolis, perhaps?
