My grandfather served in the RAF and during WW2 was in the Himalayas, Burma and Singapore. Before he died in 1986 he wrote his memoirs in which he gives account of his entire RAF career. These memoirs are now archived at Cornwall Record Office, where I work as an archive assistant. I can send a full photocopy of them if you are interested.
