I was only about 3 and a half when the war started. So I had a Mickey Mouse Gas Mask, not an adult one. Later in the 1960's I told some friends about me having towear a Mickey Mouse gas mask and they said, "It's ok Rita, the war ended 20 years ago, you can take it off now!".
