The young man in the centre of the picture was my father Kenneth Phillips aged 19 of the 5th East Yorkshire Regiment. He was wounded I believe on Sword beach on 6th June 1944 and returned to the UK on the 7th June 1944. He recovered from his injuries and lead a very active life and sadly died in August 2005 almost 80 years. i would be interested to hear any information regarding the other men in the photograph.
