My uncle Ted won two medals presented by Field Marshal B.L.Montgomery in the field.

He won one, for capturing a platoon of Germans on his own in a tank without any ammunition.

The other one, he won for saving solders at Dunkirk. he helped the ones that could not swim to the boats, he kept going back to the beach for them before saving himself.
