Good times too

Really you could say we had a good time during the war. There was a serious side to it as well, but we had good times too. I remember very simple pleasures — we used to go to the Community Centre to listen to the music, they played records. It cost us sixpence every Monday, and a shilling for the drink and a sandwich.
