It was the year 1944 june the 6th as the the royle navel went over the channel to france there was five beaches Omaha,Juno, sword,Gold and Uhtah. As little landing crafts hit the beaches the mission was operition overlord the Americans hit Uhtah and Omaha the British landed on Sword and Juno and the Canidians on Gold. The worst casulties was on Omaha beach. When the landing crafts hit the beaches MG42S were fired down at the men they could only hide behind tank barriers to stop tanks breeching the beach. Some men reached a tiny hill to take cover. There was bared wire to block them from goin up to the bunkers so they used bangedalords to blow it up the allied forces had to destroy the axis batteries for air support. The bared wire was blowen tons of allied men ran up the hill to the bunkers they set the bunkers a blaze and watched the axis burn the the allies ran to the batteries and set a charge on them and boom. They were luky to have blown it up quick because there was six panzer and king tiger tanks comin straight towards the allies luky air support took them out the longest day was over
