We were clueless when evacuated to the country because we’d never been there before. We all went out to a park in Enniskillen and I think we must have eaten the Laburnum Tree with its little peas. They’re poisonous; the pods are like pea pods and they’re poison. The doctor had to come out and our guardian came to me. Of course we were frightened to tell her what we’d done. She said “Please tell me what you had?” I had to explain to her, we were all very sick. “Townies!” was all the doctor said.
