I have just received an interesting email, that indicates your site is read in Singapore. There is an error in the second website given (Adam Park); we landed 29th. January, not 7th February.

Dear Sir,

I'm writing from Singapore. I've recently chanced upon the account of your war experiences on the BBC website. I'm indeed elated to write you. I've previously read the book, Battalion at war, Singapore 1942 by Michael Moore which detailed the experiences of the 1st Battalion, Cambridgeshire Regiment during the battle of Singapore and subsequent captivity. I am deeply moved by the bravery of the soldiers like yourself who fought under the most desperate circumstances and underwent the privations of the years of harsh captivity that followed the fall of Singapore in 1942.

House no. 7 Adam Park, the 1st battalion headquarters during the battle, is today a club house of the National University of Singapore Society. The link here, shows the unit in recent times:

The attached link leads to a 1998 news article calling for the erection of a heritage marker at Adam Park

A site marker has been placed at the Adam Park site in remembrance of the fierce battle against the invading Japanese force over 60 years ago.

I'll be glad to email sights of Singapore which you'd like to see today.
Hope to hear from you soon.
