I was born at 47, Balby road,Doncaster,Yorkshire. The son of William Kennnett, a schoolteacher at Beechfield boys school and Millie Kennnett nee Rusby, who ran a shop at 47 Cleveland street, (Rusby & Kennnett), before I was born as well as bringing up my siblings. Perte b. 1919, Stanley Burton , after Grandpa Burton), Charles Lawrence , Laurie, b . 1923, Margaret, 1925, Ralph ,1927. In 1937 my mother died and
