I'm an American now living in England. My dad was in the war. He was in N. Africa, Italy and France. He was a truck driver carrying ammunition. His truck had no brakes or lights. One time, they were travelling along a mountain road in Italy. His truck was about the 4th or 5th in line. The first truck was hit by a Nazi missile and blew to bits. When that truck was hit, the rest of the convoy stopped and everybody hit the dirt.It was a short firefight, but it could have been nasty.
