PARENTS BACK THEN WERE VERY STRICT, I REMEMBER HAVING TO RUN HOME FROM THE ODEAN CINEMA IN CHAPEL BAR ALL THE WA Y TO MANVERS STREET WITH BILL MY BOYFRIEND TO GET HOME FOR 10 OCLOCK OTHERWISE I WOULD BE IN BIG TR O UBLE (I WAS A GED 22 A T THE TIME) AND LATER WENT ON TO MARRY BILL).

For Miriam Tomlinson,
Thanks again for your story. Yes,our parents were very strict. I had to be home by 10 pm. My father was waiting for me at the gate. He used to say much later, "I trusted you - but not the boys."
I think our parents must have loved us a lot don't you think?
