My uncles brigade was dropped at calais during the retreat and was ordered to stop the advancing germans.After bitter fighting he was captured on the sand dunes and marched to Poland were he be came ill with T.B.
He never recovered fully and died in the late 60's.
The brigades commanding officer was thrown out of a window to his death by the gestapo shortly after their capture.
