Leave Pass to Alex
Back down south we go, stopping at Alex. Somebody said we were going back to Blighty, but no, we were going over to Italy — 10 days on the Liberty Ship. We landed at Brindise on the Adriatic coast, we travelled on to Serlerno and there we stayed for some time. I myself making trips to Naples and Rome, taking chaps on leave. By now the war was over in Europe and it was time to go Home — Hooray!!
