I can remember sitting under a steel table that acted as an airraid shelter. We had frequent air raids targeted at Rolls Royce and the Railway. I also remember finding an unexploded bomb in the Park. I remember when the rationing started standing in Woolworths for oranges and bananas. I didn'tknow how to peel a banana! I also remember eating condensed milk on fried bread.
