My father's words as written down for my son Tom

'How would you like to spend your 21st birthday on that famous beach ,never knowing you were going to get out alive.
I was lucky Tom, I was 21 on that day and I was hoping for a miracle, which came.
Just one ship on that broken down jetty on that day.
When we looked back from ship to shore, all that was seen was smoke and fires.
The sound of guns and Jerry's whistling Stukas, trying to stop us getting away.'

To Grandson Tom from Poppa Wilson
