I was in service at the big house in Brant Broughton during the war. I was an undermaid. One night I was biking home in the dark and bombs seemed to be dropping all around me.
My father used to go with me, half way, to make sure I was alright.
I remember an aeroplane crashed in Goss Lane and my (later to be) husband went across to it and found that all the crew in it were injured.
