Following on the previous story.
Good Friday 1940 Bristol was hit by wave after wave of German Bombers. Dad decided it asw too risky tostay 9in the house. He got us ready to go to Victria Park in the St Johns lane area. It was so intese we held back. A terrific explosion in the distance. A land mine had been dropped on Nictoria Park. What would our chace had been?
